At the property inspection, the appraiser will take his own measurements of the home and any additional improvements on site, view and analyze all construction materials and their quality, and take photos for use in the appraisal report.
Upon arrival, the appraiser will begin with the exterior inspection. He will take exterior measurements of your home utilizing a laser measuring device, and will inspect the overall exterior quality and condition of all construction materials.
Once the exterior inspection is complete, he will then need access to the interior for any additional measurements he may need and to inspect the interior quality and condition. This is also a great time to ask questions, and advise the appraiser of any improvements you have done to your home since the time of purchasing it.
